Next Tuesday, September 15th at 12 Noon, civic leaders, business owners along Caniff and Jos. Campau Avenues, coupled with clergy, and Catholic Bishop Thomas Gumbleton, Father Norman Thomas, Chaldean Bishop Francis, and,  Imams Hushum Al-Husainy of the Dearborn, MI., Karbala, Ali Elahi of the Islamic House of Wisdom, among others, are invited to join minds and merge with a spiritual plan to address the issues of the de-Christianization of Iraq, the birthplace of Christianity, and, the American Islamic Community Center of Madison Heights, MI.-led initiative to build a mosque near 15 Mile Road/Mound, in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Like the simple and smart politician-Pope Francis, Chaldean Catholic Bishop Francis called me months ago and identified himself as "Francis."   I hesitated and wondered which Francis - the Pope,?or, Chaldean leader?
"Bishop Francis," said the upbeat and engaging Oakland County-based head of the huge and troubled Chaldean community here in Michigan and abroad, of course.

Besides crafting a plan to address both concerns of God's people, participants will mingle to hear each other's pain as fracture further divides Madison Heights, Dearborn, Detroit, Hamtramck, in fact, much of Michigan, and the Middle East, and, more.  We will sit as brothers and sisters to seriously start a conversation on radicalized jihadism, God-willing, when it emerges from the "working" lunch meeting that will end by 1:15 pm unless the group decides otherwise by consensus.

Reservations are required, please, to effectively plan for the meeting, by noting your name, number and affiliation, at lawencematthewventline@gmail.com, or, 313.5302777, by 5 pm Monday, 9/14.

Pray please that God continues to bless our endeavors to be the Gospel peacemakers that Jesus speaks of, and, the Psalms of the Hebrew Scriptures sing, and, the serenity the Koran notes.

My gratitudeto you for listening and attending to this effort.
